Creativity isn’t just for artists —it’s for you.

About the Book

Most people believe creativity belongs only to artists. You Are Creative argues that it belongs to everyone… and that our lives and work quietly depend on it.

Drawing from his work as an engineer, surgeon, sculptor, and CEO, Emilio DiIorio reveals that creativity isn’t a personality trait, but rather a universal process we can practice and apply consistently. The book introduces a five stage framework for thinking more clearly, solving problems more effectively, and navigating the challenges of everyday life, no matter the industry.

About Emilio DiIorio

Emilio DiIorio has spent his life at the intersection of precision and imagination.

Trained as an engineer and surgeon, he has worked in environments where the stakes of creativity are life and death. He has also built ventures as an entrepreneur and maintained a lifelong practice as an artist. Across decades and disciplines—from operating rooms and engineering problems to businesses, studios, and lived experience—Emilio has seen how ideas are formed, tested, and brought to life. That range has shaped his view of creativity not as inspiration or talent, but as a rigorous, repeatable process for solving problems, creating meaning, and moving forward.
